ReelPull is a native macOS application. Downloading and remuxing video happens entirely on your Mac — the app does not send the videos you process, the links you paste, or your download history to us or to anyone else. This policy covers only the website (reelpull.app) and the purchase of a Pro licence.
When you buy a Pro licence, we process your email address — the one you enter at Stripe Checkout. We use it to:
We don’t ask for your name, address, or any other personal detail beyond what Stripe collects to take payment.
We use Google Analytics to count page views — which pages people read, and where they arrived from. It only runs if you accept when asked. Decline, or simply ignore the banner, and no analytics cookies are written and nothing is sent to Google: the tag isn’t loaded at all. The site works identically either way, and nothing is behind that choice.
If you accept, Google sets cookies to recognise a returning browser and tell one visit from another. We see page views, referrers and countries, and we record a small number of specific actions: starting a checkout, completing a subscription, downloading the app, and clicking through from the pricing card. A completed subscription is recorded with the amount paid, the currency, which plan it was, and a Stripe subscription reference — an opaque identifier we use so the same purchase isn’t counted twice. We don’t use advertising features, we don’t build profiles, and we don’t sell or share your data. The advertising signals Google offers are permanently switched off.
Your email address is never sent to Google, and neither is your licence key. Page addresses are cleaned before they’re reported, so your Stripe checkout reference never reaches Google either.
One further cookie records your answer, so you’re not asked on every page. That one is strictly necessary and is set whichever way you choose. To change your mind, use Cookie choice at the foot of any page — it clears your answer and asks again.
Lawful basis for analytics is your consent (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time. The desktop app is separate and unaffected: it contains no analytics, no telemetry and no phone-home of any kind.
We process your email under the performance of a contract (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) — specifically, the contract formed when you buy a ReelPull Pro subscription. We keep it for as long as your subscription is active plus a short period afterwards for support and refund queries, then delete it.
Three processors handle your email on our behalf, each under their own data processing agreement:
We don’t sell your data, and we don’t share it with anyone beyond these three processors.
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the email we hold, or to export it. You can also cancel your subscription yourself at any time via the Stripe customer portal (see Manage subscription) without contacting us at all. For anything else, email us — details below.
